Stakeout work at West Preston Middle School
What you see in the images below is our layout of the piles in the foreground and the drill working in the background. We are working for the General Contractor, Yarborough Construction. The company doing the drilling is Grout Systems Inc. On this job the drill goes down 25’ to bedrock and then backs out. As the drill is backing out grout is pumped in behind filling the hole. 1” diameter rebar is then lowered into the grout to complete the pile. There are about 350 of these piles under this school addition. They averaged about 12 minutes a pile.
